ANA GALBAN LEON

I.B. (SPAIN). M.Psych, MAPS

Psychologist

Ana is a Psychologist with General Registration in Australia. She has accumulated substantial experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both community and private clinic settings. Through her studies and training, Ana has acquired the competencies necessary to support individuals with a wide range of presentations, including trauma, depression, anxiety, and more complex conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Eating Disorders, and Bipolar Disorders.

Ana was born in Barcelona and relocated to Australia in 2017. As a result, she is fluent in both Spanish and Catalan and can provide counselling sessions in either language. Her experiences as an international student in Australia have given her a unique perspective on the challenges faced by migrants, which enhances her ability to empathize with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.

Ana has a particular interest in working with older adolescents and young adults, particularly women, to assist them in navigating the challenges of adulthood and general life issues. Her preferred therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Ana is highly regarded for her warmth, attunement, and empathetic approach, which are critical components that contribute to the establishment of a safe and secure therapeutic alliance.

In her personal life, Ana loves music, arts, enjoys practicing Pilates, and has an interest in Eastern Philosophies.
