Psychologist

Mel Kelleher is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Mel has a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. She has worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults in private practice, schools and community settings. Mel has experience working with anxiety, depression, attachment issues, trauma, grief and loss, suicidality and self-harm. Mel has specialist professional training in working with adolescents and adults who have experienced childhood adversity, attachment issues or childhood trauma. Mel is also passionate about breaking down the barriers and stigma around people seeking help for psychological problems.

Mel is skilled in a number of therapeutic disciplines including CBT, ACT, DBT, Mindfulness, Child Focused Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Schema Therapy. She also enjoys using her creativity in her therapeutic approach. Mel is a warm and empathetic practitioner who always keeps the client at the centre of her approach.
